Plotsy Signs USA Today Bestselling Author C. Gockel for Next Plotsy vBook™ Title

I Bring the Fire Part 1: Wolves by C. Gockel

Autrhor C. Gockel

Creator of the USA Today Bestselling “I Bring the Fire” Series Brings Loki, Amy, and the Nine Realms to Plotsy.tv

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Plotsy, the company behind the Plotsy vBook™, today announced it has signed USA Today bestselling author C. Gockel. “Wolves,” the first installment in Gockel’s “I Bring the Fire” series, is the newest title set for translation from book to screen on Plotsy.tv.

The Plotsy vBook™ translates a novel to the screen and releases it in Parts, the same way a printed book unfolds in chapters. The story and the storyteller stay exactly the same: only the medium changes, from words on a page to a visual experience readers can watch. The Plotsy vBook™ joins print, ebook, and audiobook as another way for readers to experience a story.

C. Gockel is the author of the USA Today bestselling “I Bring the Fire” series, an urban fantasy saga readers have described as equal parts “The Dresden Files” and “American Gods.” Gockel got her start writing fanfiction before her readers convinced her to publish professionally, and she has gone on to build a devoted following for her irreverent take on Norse mythology colliding with the modern world. In addition to the “I Bring the Fire” series, she is the author of the “Archangel Project” series and other works of science fiction and urban fantasy.

“Wolves” opens as Amy Lewis, a Midwestern veterinary student driving cross country with her decidedly unglamorous dog, Fenrir, named half as a joke for the monstrous wolf of Norse legend, finds her ordinary life about to be upended. Galaxies away, Loki, the Norse God of Mischief and Chaos, wakes in a prison cell with no hangover and no idea what he’s done this time. He knows only that Thor is hiding something, that Odin is up to something wicked, and that he’s forgotten something important. As Amy’s and Loki’s fates collide, the two are pulled into a fight against gods, elves, and ancient evils, and Amy must decide whether a self proclaimed God of Chaos can be trusted at all.

“C. Gockel is a remarkable storyteller,” said Michael Gorton, Founder and CEO of Plotsy. “Wolves is clever, engaging and often wonderfully funny, and her ability to weave Norse mythology into modern life makes the story feel both timeless and completely fresh. She has created characters and a world that are incredibly visual, which makes this a natural fit for the Plotsy vBook format. Great storytelling is always where Plotsy begins, and Gockel has given us a great story to bring to the screen.”

“I’ve had readers asking for years if they’d ever get to see Amy, Loki, and the Nine Realms on screen," said C. Gockel. "What has impressed me most about working with Plotsy is how they’ve made me part of the team. They genuinely want my input, and they’re determined to keep the vBook faithful to the series. As an author, it’s incredibly exciting to be part of that process.”

Part One of “Wolves” Plotsy vBook™ will be available for streaming in the Plotsy App later this year. Fans can sign up for exclusive production updates at plotsy.tv. Authors interested in bringing their own work to the Plotsy vBook™ format can learn more at plotsy.tv/for-authors.

Watch a great book.
